AIGC Acceptable Use Policy

Content standards for AI generation on Malfoid: prohibited content categories, moderation mechanisms, reporting channels, and enforcement actions.

Last updated: 2026-10-04

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all content created through the AI image generation features on Malfoid (the character generator and the photo-to-anime mode). It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to every prompt, uploaded photo, and generated image on the platform. Using the service means you agree to this policy.

Content Standards & Prohibited Categories

You may not use Malfoid to generate any content falling into the following six categories:

  1. Pornographic / NSFW content. Sexually explicit imagery, nudity, sexualized depictions, fetish content, or any content whose primary purpose is sexual gratification. Malfoid produces anime-style character art for general audiences — adult content of any kind is not permitted.
  2. Violence / gore. Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, torture, or content that glorifies or incites physical harm against people or animals.
  3. Hate speech. Content that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status, including hate symbols and slurs.
  4. Child-unsafe content. Any sexualization of minors, content that endangers or exploits children, or content appealing to minors in a sexual context. This category is subject to zero tolerance (see below).
  5. Deepfakes / impersonation. Photorealistic or recognizable depictions of real, identifiable people without their consent; impersonation of real people, brands, or organizations; or content presented as authentic evidence of real events or statements.
  6. Copyright / trademark infringement. Prompts intended to reproduce copyrighted characters, logos, trademarks, or other protected material. Names of franchise characters and rights holders are blocked by our input filter, and Malfoid is an unofficial fan-made concept not affiliated with any rights holder — see the About page disclaimer.

Zero-tolerance content

The following result in immediate permanent bans, content removal, and where required by law, reports to relevant authorities and organizations:

  • Any sexual content involving minors, including CSAM or attempts to produce it (we report all such attempts).
  • Terrorist, extremist, or mass-violence content.
  • Non-consensual sexualized or nude depictions of real people.

In addition to the categories above, you may not: attempt to bypass, jailbreak, or circumvent our filters or the upstream model's safety systems; generate content that violates applicable laws; use the service for spam, bulk abuse, or harassment; or knowingly submit false information.

Content Moderation

We keep generations clean and community-friendly through layered moderation:

  • Automated input filtering. Every prompt is checked in real time against a keyword blacklist covering NSFW terms and third-party trademarks before generation is allowed. User input is also length-limited, and generations are built from fixed, safety-reviewed base prompt templates plus curated trait presets — user text is only a supplement, never free-form control of the whole image.
  • Provider-side model safety. Generations run on Google's Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro image models (served via the fal.ai API), which include their own built-in safety filters that block unsafe outputs — including sexual content involving minors, real-person likenesses, and other policy-violating results — at the model layer.
  • Human review. Content flagged by our filters or reported by users via the channels below is manually reviewed by trained staff before any enforcement decision. Reviewers handle report materials confidentially.
  • Photo-mode restrictions. Photo mode accepts only photos of yourself. Uploaded photos are transmitted to the model provider solely to generate your image and are never stored on our servers; only the generated result is kept.
  • Periodic audits. We regularly sample flagged and reported content, review enforcement consistency, and update our keyword filters based on observed abuse patterns.

Severity levels

  • L1 — Critical (child safety, terrorism, non-consensual intimate imagery): auto-blocked at generation; immediate permanent ban and external reports where legally required. Initial response within 24 hours.
  • L2 — Severe (hate speech, graphic gore, deepfake/impersonation): content removal and temporary account suspension pending review. Handled within 3 business days.
  • L3 — General (NSFW attempts, trademark-infringement attempts, filter-evasion attempts): content removal and a written warning. Handled within 7 business days.
  • L4 — Minor (borderline prompts that pass filters): warning and a request to adjust future prompts. Handled within 15 business days.

Reporting Channels

If you find content on Malfoid that violates this policy, report it:

  • Email: support@malfoid.app with the subject line "Content Report". This is our primary, monitored reporting channel.
  • What to include: the image (or a screenshot/URL), the task ID shown in your generation history if available, and a short description of the suspected violation.

We treat reports confidentially, do not disclose reporter identity to the reported user, and never retaliate against good-faith reporters. Knowingly false or malicious reports may themselves result in enforcement.

Enforcement Actions

Confirmed violations are met with a graduated response, based on severity and history:

  1. Warning. A written notice for first-time minor violations.
  2. Content removal. Confirmed-violating images are deleted from our servers and generation history.
  3. Feature restriction. Reduced generation quotas, rate limits, or removal of access to specific modes for repeat minor violations.
  4. Credit forfeiture. No refunds or compensation for credits spent on content removed for policy violations.
  5. Account suspension. Temporary suspension of the account pending review for severe violations or accumulated strikes.
  6. Permanent ban. Termination of the account and access to the service for zero-tolerance content or repeated severe violations; remaining credits are forfeited.
  7. Legal referral. Where content appears to be illegal (for example, child-safety offenses), we report to law enforcement and relevant child-protection organizations as required.

Violations accumulate: repeat offenses escalate to the next action level regardless of individual severity.

Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, contact support@malfoid.app within 30 days with the subject line "Appeal". Appeals are reviewed by staff who were not involved in the original decision, and we will respond with the outcome.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP as our service and the upstream models evolve. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
